Breast reconstruction specialists will engage with visitors as one of the resource tents in the Survivor Village LONE TREE, Colo., – Sept. 1 4, 2015 – Park Meadows Cosmetic Surgery will be part of the Survivor Village at the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Colorado on Sunday, Sept. 27 , at the Pepsi Center . Team members at the practice also attended last year’s Race for the Cure in Denver .
“ We are excited to again host a booth at the Race for the Cure in Denver,” said Dr. Christopher Williams, board – certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon at Park Meadows Cosmetic Surgery. “We love to have the opportunity to visit with and meet with thes e strong and courageous women who have battled or are battling breast cancer.”
Staff from Park Meadows Cosmetic Surgery will be at the race handing out hot chocolate and answering questions from survivors about breast reconstruction. Th e team will also be promoting its “celeBRAtion” of Breast Reconstruction Awareness (BRA) Day, an annual event held on the t hird Wednesday of each October that raises awareness about surgical reconstruction options for women who have undergone mastectomy as part of breast can cer treatment or prevention.
Dr. Jeremy Williams, board – certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon at Park Meadows Cosmetic Surgery, said that women who are interested in learning more about their breast reconstruction options should “stop by our resour ce tent in the Survivor Village talk to one of our staff members.”
