Some surgeons are offering injections of saline fluid into the breasts to provide 24-hour breast enlargement. This new fad is waiting to be approved by the FDA. As such, not much has been identified in terms of possible risks and complications.
Certain plastic surgeons claim the injections give patients a good prediction of what results from a surgical breast augmentation would look like. Other plastic surgeons have said the injections do not provide a good prediction because the saline injection cannot possibly mimic the way a formed breast implant will look beneath the breast tissue or breast muscle.
