The first decision is, “Do I ever get reconstructed?” For the vast majority of women, the answer is yes. And then we discuss the types of reconstruction. The most common would be an implant-based reconstruction, and the second technique would be using part of your own body. There are multiple locations from which you can harvest tissue or borrow tissue to reconstruct breasts. And that’s a nice conversation to have with your surgeon.
