I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2002 when I was 28 years old. I was pregnant with our 2nd child therefore having reconstruction following the mastectomy would've been too dangerous for the baby. I went on to have her and two more children. By this time I knew I wanted to have the DIEP Flap (Tissue was taken from my tummy to make the breast mount) for reconstruction and had considered traveling across the U.S. to have it done since there were only a handful of doctors in the U.S. doing this surgery. Thankfully, I found Dr. Chris and Dr. Jeremy while searching online. They are 4 hours away, but well worth the drive! I am completely satisfied with their work! I was their first DIEP patient. I can only imagine that they have gotten better in time, although I don't know if that is even possible. Their staff is amazing as well; so friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend them for breast reconstruction.
