Long Term Results Entice Women To
Look For Better Solution To Lifestyle
Facelifts
Summary: Dr Randolph Robinson is Colorado’s first cosmetic
surgeon to perform the Harmonic Facelift, which gives patients full, long term
results generally only received with traditional facelifts, yet can significantly
reduce the recovery time.
Denver, CO (PRWEB) November 1, 2007 –Is
the desire for quicker results pushing
the limits in cosmetic surgery? Maybe,
says Dr Randolph Robinson, founder
of Park Meadows Cosmetic Surgery.
Thanks to media and popular television
shows on makeovers, the general public
has been asking for more access to
cosmetic procedures. Yet they want
quick results without the downtime
traditionally associated with more
conventional cosmetic procedures.
But what people don’t realize
is that with quicker, simpler procedures,
the results will also be less dramatic
or even impermanent in nature.
“With simple procedures like
the lifestyle or adjustable facelift,
there is a question of how long the
results will last,” stated Dr
Robinson. “These facelifts are
performed by using barbed thread to
pull the facial tissues to a new height,
then sewn in place. The threads can
detach from the skin after a short
period of time or, if not sewn in place
correctly, can sometimes be seen through
the skin.”
Which has left many doctors like Dr
Robinson searching for alternatives
that provide far superior results,
but still cut the recovery time to
a minimum.
“As a double board certified
cosmetic surgeon, I want to make sure
I offer my patients the best possible
procedure that will give them the results
they are looking for, and will allow
them to get back to their normal routines
as fast as possible,” stated
Dr Robinson.
Enter the new Harmonic Facelift.
The Harmonic Facelift provides the
long-term results of a more traditional
facelift with the speed and ease of
using ultrasonic technology.
The purpose of a facelift is to give
new life to your existing looks. A
facelift will remove loose or excess
skin, erase deep lines and wrinkles,
or decrease the jowl area. While the
traditional facelift remains ever popular,
one thing may be holding some people
back: the facelift on average requires
three weeks of recovery time; weeks
that many people in today's busy world
simply can't spare.
Both the traditional facelift and
the Harmonic Facelift procedures are
performed in a similar nature. Incisions
are made along the hairline, above
the ear, and down around the lobe,
ending in or below the hairline behind
the ear. From there, the facial
skin is lifted, tightened, and the
excess skin is removed. The real
benefit of the Harmonic Facelift comes
in recovery.
The Harmonic Facelift uses a Harmonic
Scalpel, which uses ultrasonic technology,
and vibrates at a high frequency, 50,000
cycles per second. It seals the tissue
as it dissects, and ultimately helps
eliminate bruising typically associated
with a facelift.
With less tissue damage, bruising
is kept to a minimal; patients heal
faster; and can usually return to work
much quicker. It may be possible to
actually cut the recovery time by as
much as a week using this new technique.
“This is one procedure I have
full confidence in,” stated Dr
Robinson. “I know that my patients
are going to have long term, superior
results compared to some of the quick,
in-and-out procedures on the market
today.”
