The US Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that between 2004 and 2014, individuals 55 and over will continue to work and redefine the way we currently think of retirement. The participation rate of individuals ages 55-64 in the workforce will grow from 62.3 percent to 65.2 percent, while those aged 65+ will grow from 14.4 percent to 19.7 percent. And as more people continue to work and lead active lives, their demand to look younger will rise as well. |

Baby Boomers: How To Create The Look That Matches How You Feel
During 2006, baby boomers began reaching the age of 60. For some, this milestone may come as a time of reflection, and a time for looking at life in a whole new way.
According to a telephone survey conducted by AARP, 87 percent of these boomers want to take better care of their health, and plan on staying active to do so. And with only 54 percent of these same boomers still working on a full time basis, more and more will have the opportunity to work at staying active, and living a healthier lifestyle.
Becoming more active doesn't necessarily mean starting a rigid exercise routine or fitness program. It may mean walking several times a week. Or starting a yoga class. The better you feel, the better you'll want to look too.
As we age, most of us will begin experiencing the unavoidable loss of skin elasticity. In our 30's and 40's, using Botox and Restylane is an option. But as the skin continues to loosen, many are turning to other alternatives.
Many will start with eyelid surgery to decrease the fine lines around the eyes, and get rid of excess skin in the fold. Or maybe a facelift is more of an option, to correct several problem areas on the face and neck.
Transformation isn't just with the face. Many are choosing to correct problem areas that haven't gone away with becoming more active, and delving into an exercise routine. How about a thigh lift? Or maybe a tummy tuck?
And if you're ready for a complete makeover, why not combine several procedures together?
Schedule an appointment today to learn about your options. Because how you look does affect the way you feel.
Meet The Staff
Meet Deb Coaty.
Deb is a part-time R.N., and has been a member of the Park Meadows Cosmetic Surgery staff for a year and a half.
Deb has spent over 18 years as an R.N., with 16 of those years as a delivery nurse. Even though cosmetic surgery is somewhat of a new experience, she is loving every minute of her time with the staff and the patients at Park Meadows Cosmetic Surgery.
"I love being able to work with a patient from beginning to end," says Deb. "It's so much fun meeting a patient for the first time, helping her plan her surgery, be there in surgery, visit the patient post-op, and share in the joy of seeing the final results."
In addition to being a valued member of the Park Meadows Cosmetic Surgery staff, Deb is a wife and mother of 4, and is blessed with the opportunity to be able to enjoy both her family and her career.
