Dr. Patrick Kline joined Park Meadows Cosmetic Surgery in 1997. He completed a year-long fellowship in facial cosmetic surgery at The Institute of Facial and Cosmetic Surgery in Salt Lake City, Utah and at the Ysbyty Glan Clwyd Hospital in North Wales, UK. Currently, he is board certified in oral and maxillofacial surgery and is board eligible with the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery.
Receiving his bachelor’s degree in biology from Adelphi University in Garden City, NY, Dr. Kline chose to pursue the art and science of facial surgery in the European tradition by obtaining both medical and dental degrees. Dr. Kline earned his medical degree from the Harvard Medical School in Boston and his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He completed a six-year residency training program at the prestigious Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, a program designed to integrate the medical and dental disciplines to train specialists in facial surgery.
Dr. Kline has performed research on osteogenesis (bone formation), and has published articles on surgical techniques to improve maxillofacial prosthesis retention in reconstructive surgery patients. His other areas of surgical interest include esthetic facial surgery, facial reconstruction, microneurosurgery of sensory facial nerves, mini-graft hair transplantation and laser surgery.
Dr. Kline utilizes all of his training background to treat patients with problems involving the face. He understands that people desiring cosmetic facial surgery want to look better, not different. His approach is to integrate the diagnosis and treatment of the structural, functional and esthetic aspects of the face to obtain a more natural change. This integration requires careful consideration of the dental, skeletal and soft tissue components of the face and how each affects the other.
