Dr. Jeremy Z. Williams

Jeremy
Williams, MD is a Denver board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon
and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. Williams received his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical School, where he graduated in the top of his class with honors. He then spent the next seven years training in plastic, maxillofacial, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery at the prestigious Johns Hopkins Hospital (Ranked by US NEWS AND WORLD REPORT as Americas #1 hospital for over 13 years). Interested in new innovations in plastic surgery Dr. Williams dedicated a full year of his training to plastic surgical research. He has published articles and authored book chapters on plastic surgery of the face and body. He has presented his work at numerous national and international scientific conferences.
"When I was finishing up medical school, I followed my heart into the field of plastic surgery. I loved surgery, but much of surgical medicine was becoming an 'assembly line' where the surgeon was relegated to the role of a technician and very little time was spent touching people's lives, states Dr Williams. "Plastic surgery's very essence is tied to treating the whole person (physical, emotional and spiritual). Plastic surgery has allowed me to develop strong relationships with my patients.
Dr. Williams is a Colorado native who has returned home after completing extensive training in plastic surgery at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. He believes that whether you are seeking aesthetic rejuvenation or reconstructive restoration, that enhancement of your image should be natural and above all, safe. Dr. Williams utilizes the latest technology and innovations in plastic surgery in an effort to ensure your optimal aesthetic outcome.
"My training at Johns Hopkins afforded me the opportunity to care for patients with complex cosmetic and reconstructive problems. Many of the patients were referred from around the country and around the world. I was involved in many procedures that are only available through a select few centers around the globe. And a great deal of them were focused on problems of the breast.
"When
I moved back to Colorado my interest in breast surgery naturally translated
to the patients I began seeing in my new practice location. Being a married
father of 3 children I am aware of the concerns women have with regard
to changes that occur in the body after having children. My mommy makeover
practice developed out of this firsthand knowledge. Many women do not
want to look 'done or operated on'; rather, they just want to feel feminine
again and regain what pregnancy has altered or taken away. My patients
seek me out because I understand their situation. I empathize with their
feelings, because I too see first hand how it has impacted a woman's
life. My philosophy that plastic surgery should enhance and restore your
existing natural beauty seemed to resonate with mothers and women frustrated
with changes in their bodies that were beyond their control. My practice
is largely comprised of referrals from existing patients who refer friends
who would not otherwise consider plastic surgery until realizing that
it can be performed in a natural and discrete fashion.
"The other 'arm' of my practice includes women of all ages with varying concerns. In this group are my breast cancer survivors. These patients represent a true passion for me. In an era when many plastic surgeons seek only to perform 'cosmetic' surgery and have eliminated breast reconstruction from their practice, I believe firmly that breast reconstruction encompasses all that is truly cosmetic in plastic surgery. A breast reconstruction should be as aesthetic as possible. It is impossible to perform an ideal breast reconstruction without having a cosmetic aptitude. I find my breast cancer survivors to be exciting, encouraging and a blessing to have the privilege to treat and serve."
In addition to maintaining an active interest in various areas of reconstructive surgery, (breast, traumatic facial injuries, hand, microsurgery, and cancer reconstruction) he has specific surgical interest in aesthetic facial surgery as well as cosmetic surgery of the breast and body. Recognizing that discussing cosmetic surgery may be difficult for some patients, he prides himself in a professional bedside manner that is centered on trust and providing care with the dignity and respect you deserve.
He is the devoted father of three children, Kendall, Evan and Carson
and enjoys numerous activities with his wife Kimberly. They enjoy skiing,
mountain biking, traveling and the fine arts. He shares a deep interest
with Dr. Robinson in medical mission work and providing compassion and
free surgical care to the children of developing countries.
