Abdominoplasty
Tummy Tuck is the laypersons term
for abdominoplasty. Although the term
describes the purpose of the procedure
and gives a hint at its primary objective,
tummy tuck is somewhat euphemistic
because the operation is not a minor
operation. It is, however, the best
procedure for flattening the abdomen,
removing extra skin, contouring, reducing
fat and taking away stretch marks.
Abdominoplasty is a procedure for men and women with excess fat or loose abdominal skin that is resistant to diet and exercise. Candidates often are women with loose abdominal muscles from pregnancy or aging.
Patients that are considering losing a significant amount of weight or have undergone gastric bypass or bariatric surgery should consider abdominoplasty once they have reached their dieting goals. It is also recommended that women contemplating abdominoplasty postpone surgery until after they are finished with child bearing, to prevent re- of the abdominal skin.
The doctors at Park Meadows Cosmetic Surgery invite you to schedule a complimentary consultation, where the entire procedure can be fully explained so your questions and concerns can be addressed.
